TinkerPy (tinkerpy.com, the TinkerPy app and the TinkerPy boards) is powered by TinkerSpace, TinkerSpace, 2nd Floor, Thudar Nilaya, No. IV-48/1, Near CA Bank, Sullia, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka – 574239 ("TinkerSpace", "we", "us"). Most of our users are school students, so we collect as little as we can and never sell personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Children and parents
- TinkerPy is made for students. A student under 18 should use TinkerPy with the consent of a parent or guardian, or through their school, which manages its students' accounts.
- We do not show advertisements, and we do not use children's data for advertising or profiling.
- On public pages (such as AppSpace) we show only a student's first name with their work, never their full name, phone, email or school details, unless the student chooses to show the school and class when publishing.
- A parent or guardian can ask to see, correct or delete their child's data at any time (see section 7).
2. What we collect
- Account details: name, email and/or phone number, gender (if given), PIN (stored only in a scrambled, one-way form) and PIN hint, country, state and city, and for students the school, class and section; for teachers the school or college.
- Your work: projects, code, Block programs, apps, games, websites, comments, ratings and course progress, quiz results and certificates.
- Boards: the ID of each TinkerPy board you upload to, its firmware version and upload history.
- Shop orders: delivery name, address, phone and order details.
- Technical data: a login session cookie, and basic server logs (time, page and IP address) kept for a short time to keep the service safe and working.
3. How we use it
- To run your account, save your work, and show your progress and certificates.
- To let teachers and schools see their own students' work and progress.
- To upload programs to your board and keep it working.
- To deliver shop orders and give support.
- To keep TinkerPy safe (for example, stopping misuse) and to improve it.
4. AI features
Some features (Ask Tinku, AI Simulation, AI code help and spoken explanations) send the code or question you are working on to our AI and text-to-speech providers to produce an answer. We send only what the feature needs, never your password or contact details, and we ask students not to type personal information into AI questions. These providers process the data for us and are not allowed to use it for their own advertising.
5. Who we share it with
- Your school or teacher, when your account belongs to a school or class.
- Service providers that help us run TinkerPy: web hosting, email and messaging, AI and voice services, and couriers for shop deliveries. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Our seller partner, Viva Global Connections, for shop orders only (the details needed to bill and deliver the order).
- The law: when we are legally required to.
We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
6. Storage and safety
Data is stored on secure servers. PINs and passwords are never stored in readable form. Access is limited to staff who need it. We keep account data while the account is in use; when an account is deleted, its personal data is removed, except what we must keep by law (such as order and billing records).
7. Your choices and rights
- See, correct or download your data, or delete your account: write to support@tinkerspace.in from the account's email or phone, or ask your school.
- Withdraw consent for optional features at any time.
- Parents and guardians can make these requests for their child.

We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within one month.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in TinkerPy.
